甄子丹近來勤跑活動宣傳新片《葉問3》，應邀上《看板人物》整個大開「調皮」模式，一見面就追問主持人方念華：「先比武還是先吃飯？」嚇得方念華直呼要從「後門」逃跑。隨後他現場秀幾招，示範用詠春拳打木人樁，讓大家可偷學幾招，還貼心安慰方念華「習武」不必太講究，將功夫跟人融合一體，打出「性格」才是重點！

因系列電影紅遍世界各地，無論造訪紐約、波士頓、義大利、中東杜拜或其他國家，都會有外國人上前狂喊「葉師父」，甄子丹謙虛說自己不能算是詠春拳發言人，只是藉由作品傳遞「家庭精神」，對於「葉問」這個角色，他認為可算是親民、真誠且無爭，形容：「就像旁邊的一位朋友，或是想交的男友，甚至想寄託的男人。」

聊及19歲拍的第一部電影《笑太極》，他說最難忘的就是當時所住的仁愛路華美大廈，以及每天到中影片場前一定會買的士林蛋餅、燒餅油條。入行33年，直到8年前開始嚐到走紅滋味，但他仍牢記苦日子，用來自我警惕，他說：「現在大家看到我風光，就會忘了我蹲在路邊吃飯盒的那個過去！」

被封為「宇宙最強」，甄子丹認為就是大家所開的一個「玩笑」，觀眾很容易把武術跟武俠混為一談，但其實武術是很科學的，而武俠有它的藝術價值，現在拍片常會把兩者融合在一起。他與偶像李小龍一樣，都是非常重視實戰，在拍攝上也特別講究，堅持不改變路線，最難的關鍵就是如何將武術變成自己的人生態度和性格，最後形成內斂風格。
